Thought process

The flow of ideas, symbols and associations directed by destination initiated by a problem or a task and leads to the conclusion that the fact -oriented ; if there is a logical sequence, to think is normal ; parapraxis (slipping from logical unconsciously motivated also called a pun according to Freud) are considered as part of normal thinking.

Common disorder in the form or Thought Process :

1. Mental disorders : behavioral or psychological syndrome clinically significant, accompanied by pain or disability, not just a response is expected from a particular event or limited to the relationship between a person and society.

2. Psychosis : inability to distinguish reality from fantasy ; disruption in the ability to assess reality, by creating a new reality (as opposed to neurosis : a mental disorder in which the ability to judge a reality that is still intact, the behavior is not clear violation of social norms, as well as relatively long-lasting or recurrent without treatment).

3. Tests fact or reality : examination and deliberation on the world outside themselves.

4. Formal thought disorders : disturbance in the form of the mind, even the contents of the mind ; thought characterized by slack associations, neologisms, and illogical constructions ; impaired thought processes , and commonly regarded as a psychotic person.

5. Illogical thinking : thinking contains incorrect conclusions or internal contradictions ; pathological if it is real and not due to the cultural value or intellectual deficits.

6. Dereism : mental activity that is inconsistent with logic or experience.

7. Autistic thinking : preoccupation with the world and personal ; the term is used somewhat the same with dereisme.

8. Magical thinking : a form of dereistic thinking ; thinking is similar to the preoperational phase of childhood (Jean Piaget), in which the thoughts, words or actions have the power (for example, they can cause or prevent an event).

9. Primary thinking process : the general term for thinking that dereistic, illogical, magical ; normally found in dreams, abnormal in psychosis.
